Spintly is the Wireless Technology and Hardware Development Startup, Founded by Rohin Parkar and Malcolm Dsouza aimed at a mission “to Simplify the Access Control System for Companies”.

Spintly is the first cloud-based physical security system and fully wireless Access control in the world which is aiming at the growing sector in India.

How did  Spintly Start in 2017?

With a career of 12+ years in Wireless Technology, Rohin was working in California, Bay Area for the likes of Nokia, Broadcom, Motorola. In Dec 2017, he has returned to India was thinking that why there are no Indian companies focusing on security systems which gave him the idea of starting Spintly.

Spintly’s main idea is of simplifying the access systems with their smartphone-enabled control system to facilitate employee Attendance Management, Occupancy.

In Dec 2017, Spintly has started its operations working with small manufacturing facilities in Margao.

Where does Spintly stand now? 

With bootstrapped INR 10 Mn, in 2017, This Margao-based startup has grown from a team of 4 in 2017 to a team of 38 in 2021 from their two branches Margoa and Bengaluru. It has been grown exponentially, generating INR 2 Mn per month in Revenue in 2021 against INR 100k per month in its preceding years. 

Spintly has its main customer base in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana,  UAE, and the Middle East. Smartworks, Commscope global, etc are few esteemed customers of this Margoa-based startup.

Spintly Funding

Spintly has raised its latest funds valuing INR 4.6 Cr led by California-based venture capital fund, RISO Capital, making the startup worth US$ 750K. The other Investors include SucSEED Indovation, saltwater Venture Sparks, Keiretsu forum. According to this engineer turned Entrepreneur, “the right investor is key” for a startup in its growing stage.

Rohin Parkar, the CEO, is an MBA graduate from the University of Texas in 2010.

Malcolm Dsouza, the CTO was having the experience of working in nokia, Chicago.
